Pearls of witticism from 'Bo the Blogger: Kushibo's Korea blog... Kushibo-e Kibun... Now with Less kimchi, more nunchi. Random thoughts and commentary (and indiscernibly opaque humor) about selected social, political, economic, and health-related issues of the day affecting "foreans," Koreans, Korea and East Asia, along with the US, especially Hawaii, Orange County and the rest of California, plus anything else that is deemed worthy of discussion. Forza Corea!

Where in Honolulu is it? I'll be back in Honolulu in 3 weeks and would like to stay away from that area.
ReplyDeleteIt's in the shopping center at McCully and Kapiolani Blvd. One would think the first shop would be in the crop of Korean businesses along Keeaumoku (affectionately dubbed "Korea-moku"), which would have the added advantage of being closer to the Japanese tourists at Ala Moana Shopping Center, but this place is close enough to Waikiki that it probably gets a few extra.
DeleteDo they sell eyelid glue? I recently wrote about it and asked a few American ladies what they thought.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see any. The stuff was all pretty basic stuff. And not too expensive (except, oddly, the men's stuff).
DeleteI could see a lot of people coming there. Among Asian travelers (and folks in Hawaii, by extension), Korea is as famous for its cosmetics as it is for K-pop and K-dramas.
You can't be serious. Don't feed the kvetchpats.
ReplyDeleteAh, this is harmless stuff. I can write something totally innocuous, and the kvetchpats will find some morsel to eat up and then regurgitate (they're like cockroaches that way).
DeleteMy snarky tone notwithstanding, I didn't mean this in any negative way. Frankly, I find it fascinating when everyday Korean stuff (e.g., Kyochon Chicken) ends up in the United States.
You didn't have to give the exact address. He was being sarcastic. Didn't have to indulge him.
DeleteAh, I didn't give it for qklilx's sake. I certainly don't mind supporting The Face Shop or Kyochon Chicken or Shinsegae (were they to come here), and if someone is looking up FaceShop+Honolulu+location, I'm glad to be of service. (I'm assuming such people are headed there as shoppers, not protesters.)
