Drones on Guam to spy on North Korea

The US military has decided to station some drone aircraft capable of flying for as long as thirty-two hours, at altitudes as high as 60,000 feet, on Guam. Among other things, these will be used for observing North Korean military activity along the DMZ.

"You need this because, for lack of a better term, North Korea has a lot of stuff — tanks, trucks, guns, artillery, fighting positions," said [Bruce] Bechtol, an associate professor at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. "You need a very efficient, very wide-ranging, wide-seeing unmanned aerial vehicle system to collect against an army that's as big as North Korea's."

Before the Norks get their panties in a bunch, it should be noted that the drones might also patrol US waters, looking for illegal fishing. They could also be called in should there be a humanitarian disaster in the North.

The biggest danger faced by this phallic-shaped plane is that it will be captured by ajŏshi and made into stamina-enhancing soup.
