• South Korea will open a new hospital and a vocational center in Afghanistan this week.

• A Japanese survey says 32.3 percent of South Korean students and a whopping 45.1 percent of Japanese students sleep in class. So much for "four hours success."

• Food safety advocates are angry that the Korea Food & Drug Administration still refuses to list MSG as a dangerous food additive.

• In Los Angeles County, some 40 percent of all pregnancies are the result of accidental conception, a situation which can endanger the health of the child.
