- Outlets of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Holly's may have to suspend business due to health violations discovered by the Korea Food & Drug Administration (story also here). Coffee Bean being a personal favorite of mine — except for them having taken out all the electrical outlets — I'm a bit disturbed by this. The only time I ever got sick from a coffee house in Korea was at the Starbucks on Yongsan Garrison.

- On a related note, a committee is being launched to bring back from Japan the sword that was used to kill Chosŏn's Empress Myŏngsŏng, in commemoration of the centennial of An Chunggŭn execution. The sword is called Hizendo.
