those of you going through Korea's annual "worst snowfall in half a
century" get jealous, it's only about 55 degrees here, though the pool
is 80.
And did I mention it was only 8 Fahrenheit at the Grand Canyon just a
few days ago? I deserve this. Daily Kor will have to wait. The
Internet here is $14/day anyway.
One of Vegas' finest? Where did you stay? I was in Vegas last week myself. You should check out the new M Resort.
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I were in Vegas and the Grand Canyon about three weeks ago. It was in the upper 30s in Vegas and we had to fight through 2.5 feet of snow in the Grand Canyon.

We stayed at the Wynn/Encore. Very nice. And we got a great deal, since it was right after the holiday weekend ended.

It's funny, you're the second person who told me that. It looks like that area may be a second Strip. Anyway, I had made a point of checking it out, but family obligations meant that I will have to wait until next time.
Kushibo,
ReplyDeleteWhere do I live? I live in OC (pretty close to your beloved Angels stadium). When I visit Vegas I usually stay at TI or South Point (SP is a great place, really). I went to the buffet at M Resort and it was pretty good (but I'm not sure it was worth the 1 1/2 hour wait). People probably just recommend the M because it's a new hotel...nothing spectacular...but clean and modern. I will probably stay at M the next time I go to Vegas just to check out the rooms.

Well, now I live in Honolulu, where I go to grad school, and in Seoul (sort of), where I own an apartment. I have family all over Orange County, but mainly centered in Irvine.

I'll probably go check it out, too. When I go to Vegas, I'm actually visiting relatives, so we try to stay in places centrally located where we can easily access them. That generally means the main part of the Strip. We usually stay in the Tropicana because it's cheap (and so are we), but we got a very good deal at the Wynn/Encore, so we stayed there. It was very nice.
