When's it out on blu ray?
ReplyDeleteif it doesn't have a button i can press to make it say 'i'm bender, baby, please insert liquor!' i don't know if i need it
ReplyDeleteShinbone, I think the Costco people wouldn't have been happy had I opened it up to look. And Amazon's entry on this doesn't say anything about it.
ReplyDeleteWangkon, is Blu-Ray that big a deal? I always figured you'd need a pretty nice TV in order to get the full effect, but I live in a 9'x14' dorm room. I have a 20" Samsung TV and a 20" iMac which are about as detailed as my TV watching get. Blu-Ray, I assume, would be lost on me.
ReplyDeleteIt's not the complete series as 26 new episodes are scheduled to begin airing on Comedy Central in 2010.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for more Nibbler and Fry's one-eyed girlfriend from "Sons of Anarchy."
REMEMBER ME!!!
ReplyDeleteBlu Ray is awsome. It spoils you. It's got a "once you go black you can't go back" effect on you.
ReplyDeleteI have a 50 inch Sony Bravia LCD and a PS3.

Ooh, good point! Some news about what your talking about here.
Frankly, I knew this was rumored, but it officially came down the wire while I was traveling so missed the Futurama Yahoo! News alert. The Comedy Central page for Futurama is here, so I didn't know about this for sure until you just now mentioned it. (Thanks!). And now that I know about this, I've got a reason to set foot in the break room where the cable-equipped TV is for our dorm.
Of course, the suits at Fox don't want you to know this, as they're not going to make any more money off Futurama (right?). And the true fans will buy any DVD release of Futurama, even for the episodes they already have.
I had hoped Comedy Central would do with "Arrested Development" what they're doing with Futurama, which is pick it up from Fox. But they chose not to, so I'll just have to be satisfied with the movie, assuming the rumors are true.

Y'know, I have gone black, and I really had no trouble going back.
When I'm back in my Seoul apartment, I may consider getting a giant TV and a Blu-Ray to go along with it, but for now, I really don't have the space, even if I had the budget. I'll keep it on the mental back burner.
