This was a reasonably affordable restaurant in the Hondori district of Hiroshima, down a side street from the blocks-long covered market (below).
Pearls of witticism from 'Bo the Blogger: Kushibo's Korea blog... Kushibo-e Kibun... Now with Less kimchi, more nunchi. Random thoughts and commentary (and indiscernibly opaque humor) about selected social, political, economic, and health-related issues of the day affecting "foreans," Koreans, Korea and East Asia, along with the US, especially Hawaii, Orange County and the rest of California, plus anything else that is deemed worthy of discussion. Forza Corea!

If you hadn't said Hiroshima, I would have thought Osaka. The covered market is very similar
ReplyDeleteI've never spent much time in Osaka, except at the airport and the train station, generally getting to other places, like Kyoto or Honolulu.
ReplyDeleteThe ubiquitous covered markets tend to have a similar look, especially in western Honshu, from what I gather. It's definitely something I'd like to see emulated more often in Korea.
Every time I go to Osaka, it always seems to rain, so the covered market area is a good area for some decent rain-free street food. And Wendy's.
