Is there a reason you chose to make the moon harvesting company a Korean American collaboration? The reason may actually have something to do with the real Korea-Moon connection.
One reason for that is my girlfriend at time was Korean and the name of the base- Sarang- is Korean for love so that was me being a bit of a romantic. Korea also has one of the most developed robotics programs and it’s one of the nations you could accept would be involved in this technologically ambitious program.
Pearls of witticism from 'Bo the Blogger: Kushibo's Korea blog... Kushibo-e Kibun... Now with Less kimchi, more nunchi. Random thoughts and commentary (and indiscernibly opaque humor) about selected social, political, economic, and health-related issues of the day affecting "foreans," Koreans, Korea and East Asia, along with the US, especially Hawaii, Orange County and the rest of California, plus anything else that is deemed worthy of discussion. Forza Corea!

One of these days, Yobo... Bang, zoom, straight to the Moon!
The Marmot presents one theory why the director of the upcoming film Moon , starring Sam Rockwell and Kevin Spacey, has chosen to name the base "Sarang," after the Korean word for love:

Are you married? I wonder if it's good or bad for your husband (or boyfriend) if you're that way. Some men might find it a relief to not have to think of sugary sweet things to say, but I might be off my game a bit because sometimes I like saying sweet, romantic things to my significant other.

No, I'm still feeling quite misanthropic. In fact, the reference you thought was "romantic" was quite the opposite. I guess you didn't pick up on the cultural reference to "The Honeymooners," which is significantly older than I am and probably you as well.
The main character on that show was always threatening to hit his wife she'd go straight to the moon. This is back when spousal abuse was still considered funny for TV.

Nah, I think he started getting normal later on. In fact, I think inside he was sort of normal, but all the marketing and weirdness of the 1960s and 1970s sort of — temporarily — brought his freak out. But I think his freak has been depleted. In fact, I think it was depleted by "Let's Dance," which is one of my favorite 1980s albums, although I do like some of his earlier work.
I'm no expert on pop music, nor do I pretend to have any rarefied opinion on pop music or indie music or anything. I just know what I happen to like, and when I was a kid songs from "Let's Dance" were on the radio a lot and I liked the album, knowing nothing of David Bowie's earlier work.
