More on impact of GM bankruptcy in Korea

In an update to this post, local analysts are saying that the collapse of General Motors will have a limited impact on Korea.

In short, GM Daewoo is likely to be seen as a "good GM" and incorporated into the sleeker, leaner, and better organized "new GM." Also, the removal of uncertainties that have been hanging over everyone's head will help make things run more smoothly.

And a smaller GM may mean a greater piece of the pie for Hyundai and Kia, something we've already had a taste of.
